Ford, Lincoln-Mercury Certified Pre-Owned Program

 What is a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle?

Today's customers are demanding a "new car" purchase and ownership experience even when they purchase a used vehicle. Customers can purchase used Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles that are inspected and certified to provide the kind of quality experience they are looking for.

Eligible Vehicles

• All Ford vehicles (except GT) up to 350-Series trucks and vans, all Lincoln vehicles and all Mercury vehicles
• Current and previous five model years
• Less than 80,000 miles
• No history of the following:
• o Frame, fire, flood or hail damage, whether repaired or not
• o Branded title
• o Reacquired vehicle
• o Alterations that would void a new car warranty
• o Vehicles originally used as a taxi or police vehicle
• Must pass the 169-point vehicle inspection.

Certification Process

There are eight steps to certification:

• 1. Vehicle is Evaluated to be Part of Program
• 2. 169-Point Certification Inspection is Completed
• 3. Decision to Certify
• 4. Vehicle is Reconditioned
• 5. Final Vehicle Inspection/Prep
• 6. Vehicle Sale
• 7. Vehicle Delivery
• 8. Reporting the Sale via the program website

Customers get complete satisfaction knowing that their vehicle has been inspected, reconditioned, and that the vehicle carries a warranty backed by Ford Motor Company. Specific features are:

• A 6-year/100,000 mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty coverage on Lincoln vehicles.
• A 6-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty coverage AND a 3-month/3,000 mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty coverage on Ford and Mercury vehicles.. Note that the 6-year/100,000-mile Limited Warranty is from the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty start date and that the 3-Month/3,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty is from the CPO delivery date.
